GYM & TRAINING
At Tidal Guidance all gym sessions are designed by Julia who is qualified with a Bachelor of Exercise Science. She has all of the knowledge to appropriately tailor both group and private training to each individual. She understands that exercise is not a one-size-fits-all, and every individual has specific needs. This level of knowledge will support you, your health, and your goals. All classes are run from a casual environment at a home gym at Lake Clarendon.
Private Sessions
At Tidal, private sessions are available for up to 4 people. These sessions run for 30 minutes and are tailored uniquely to you. Spaces are very limited for these sessions, so get in quick!
Group Sessions
If you love the community environment, these sessions are for you. Tidal Guidance boasts a welcoming and nurturing environment, tailoring the sessions to suit the needs of everyone who comes along. All classes are 30 minutes in duration
Tabata
These are the most challenging classes, operating at a higher intensity, designed to work you both aerobically and anaerobically, really getting the most out of you in a short amount of time. They work on a structure of 20 seconds on of exercise, with 10 seconds rest throughout the 30 minutes.
Low Impact
These sessions are designed for those who like to go at their own pace, and exercises are chosen carefully to ensure minimal impact on the joints.
Functional
This class is designed to use full body movements to improve overall functionality and strength. It incorporates a combination of exercises to target the whole body and body systems.
Core
This class is inspired by the movements of Pilates and Yoga to build deeper strength, with low impact on the joints, and a large focus on breath-work to destress and unwind.
Strength & Conditioning
In this class you’ll learn the fundamentals of safe lifting techniques that assist in building strength, protecting the joints and improving mobility. This session is suited to anyone and everyone, and is particularly important for the older populations.
Online Sessions Available in 2026
New to Tidal guidance, two online training sessions will be available in 2026. One session is a Tabata class, and the other is strength and conditioning. These sessions will be designed around body weight training and exercises to be easily done in the comfort of your own home.
NUTRITION
With a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Nutrition) and registration with ANTA, Julia’s nutrition knowledge is evidence-based. All nutrition advice is tailored to every individual’s specific needs. Julia has access to testing that can deepen the investigation process to give you the care and treatment completely specific to your condition and desired outcomes.
Julia has worked with a range of conditions, including preconception care, fertility, postpartum care, chronic conditions such as MCAS, weight loss, metabolic health, osteoporosis management, food sensitivities and allergies, and athlete care. Julia has the knowledge and capabilities of working alongside any condition that presents to her.
All nutrition consults are conducted online via Zoom.
Consult Options
Initial Consultation (75 mins)
This booking is compulsory if this is the first time you are seeing me as a nutrition client. During this consult we deep dive into your health history, go through a thorough dietary assessment, and come up with a plan that is uniquely tailored to you and your needs.
Extended Follow Up (60 mins)
This booking is suggested if we are going over any sort of functional testing results, or if you feel like you have multiple things you would like to address within the consult.
Follow Up (45 mins)
This consult is designed for check-ins, accountability and minor planning adjustments.
Supplement Strategy Session (30-45 mins)
This consultation is designed for individuals who want clear, personalised guidance on supplements —without the confusion, guesswork, or wasted money. Whether you have been told by your GP to take something like magnesium or iron, but you are unsure of the type or dosing. Or you’re just feeling run down, have a lowered immune system, and the kids keep bringing home every sickness imaginable. Maybe you’ve walked into your local health store and felt completely overwhelmed, not sure where to start. In this session we cover your current symptoms, health history, and lifestyle. Review any current supplementation and cross-examine any medications you are on to ensure there are no interactions risks. By providing recent pathology results, we can identify nutritional gaps to ensure supplementation is going to enhance outcomes.

Pathology Review & Interpretation (30 mins)

This 30-minute consult is designed to give you a deeper understanding of your pathology by assessing your results against optimal health ranges, not just standard reference values.
We’ll walk through your blood work together, connecting the dots between your results, your symptoms, and your overall health picture. Rather than looking at markers in isolation, I take a whole-body, evidence-based approach to identify patterns, imbalances, and areas that may be holding you back from feeling your best.
You’ll leave with clear, personalised strategies tailored to you, which may include targeted nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and where appropriate, supplementation to support your body and address underlying issues early.
EDUCATION
If you are someone who runs retreats, or organises talks for your school, community or sporting club, then I’m at your service to talk all things nutrition &/or exercise.
With a background in education, exercise science and clinical nutrition, I have the tools that can bring the best out in individuals and their health goals.
